If you have been exposed to COVID-19 per the CDC’s recommendation and are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, even if you’re fully vaccinated, you should get tested to be sure. Everyone, regardless of vaccination status, with COVID-19 symptoms should stay away from others while awaiting test results. If you don’t have symptoms of COVID, and you are up to date on your COVID-19 vaccinations, you should be tested at least five days after close contact. Those who are up to date do not need to quarantine unless they develop symptoms but should wear a well-fitting mask and avoid being around high-risk individuals.
