Angie Martinez
I manage over 10 Physicians Immediate Care clinics, working closely with the multi-site managers to do so.
I started with PIC as a multi-site manager of 4 clinics. Later, I was promoted to a senior multi-site manager, gaining increased responsibility for three of PIC’s clinics. Now, I support four of our multi-site managers in the role of regional operations director for 11 clinics.
I have worked alongside great co-workers during the past 3 years. The teams are amazing and have taught me so much. I believe in leading by example and working hard for the teams I manage. It is key to build a strong foundation of mutual respect, communication, encouragement, transparency, and recognition. I hope to continue building strong relationships with my co-workers as we work together to provide the best patient care.
I see this every day at PIC. Our team members greet patients with compassion, great customer service, and empathy. I get to witness the bond they build with each patient and the gratitude that our patients have for our team. When our teams deal with sensitive medical diagnoses and traumas, I’ve seen how efficient and careful they are. It makes me proud to work with great people who truly provide remarkable care each and every day.
The teamwork is great here. It’s a family environment that gives us the ability to have each other’s back and provide great patient care. I also enjoy the ability to manage my sites and come up with team-building exercises.
Go for it! The hours are flexible and you get the chance to build great relationships with your team. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to learn several different departments, given that PIC’s urgent care clinics offer a wide range of healthcare services. Working in an immediate care setting furthers our goal of providing all aspects of great patient care. There’s nothing more rewarding than helping a patient feel better when they are ill or injured, congratulating a pre-employment patient on the success of obtaining a new job, or helping a parent with their sick child. This is the greatest joy of healthcare: an opportunity to leave a positive impact.
