Jaime Martinez
I am a regional operations director (ROD) for 13 clinics at Physicians Immediate Care. In my role, I’m responsible for managing the flow of these clinics in conjunction with the multi-site managers and ensuring that the clinics are fully operational to treat our patients. I also serve as the go-to person for all questions regarding processes and anything happening in these clinics. Much of my time is spent collaborating with other RODs and answering questions from managers, clients and patients. Other key parts of my role are implementing new processes and policies, conducting interviews, helping out on the floor during busy times, and ensuring that our staff has all the tools they need to deliver outstanding medical care.
I have been with PIC for 5 years, and my career has grown immensely during this time. When I started in January 2015 as a patient care technologist at our Bolingbrook clinic, I immediately felt at home. The team there was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable from day one. Working at one of PIC’s busiest clinics seemed challenging at first, but with the help of the staff, I was able to learn every aspect of my job quickly.
One year later, I was offered the clinic administrator (CA) position at the Bolingbrook clinic. I gladly took on this new role. Then, in September of 2017, I became the clinic manager. In December of that year, I was promoted to a multi-site manager, where I managed four different clinics: Bolingbrook, Oswego, Bucktown, and Norridge. My most recent promotion was in March of 2019, when I accepted the ROD position. I can see my career growing with PIC with each year because the company is growing and rapidly bringing new opportunities.
PIC’s mission is shown daily by each member of our staff. They make the patient’s time and care their top priority, and they deliver that care from their hearts. Every time I’m in our clinics, I see our staff working hard to provide efficient, friendly service so each patient can feel better and go on with their day.
I appreciate the flexibility PIC has had with my schedule since the day I started working here. Because of their flexibility, I was able to successfully complete my nursing degree while still working full time at PIC in all the different roles I have held throughout my career with PIC. I also appreciate the opportunities that PIC has given me throughout the years. It can be hard to move up in a company if you come with little or no experience, but I feel like PIC values your work and dedication, more than just the number of years you have been in a role.
I know starting a new job can be nerve-wracking, but PIC will make you feel at home in no time. Follow the company values and work hard, and you will be amazed by all the opportunities that come your way.
