Systems Engineer

<p>This role requires an experienced, self-motivated individual to maintain and improve IT systems performance, security and efficiency. Our growing organization seeks an open-minded, detail-oriented individual with follow through skills. The Network Systems Administrator will adjust to changing priorities, anticipate and adapt to circumstances as needed.</p>
<li>Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution</li>
<li>Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware and anti-virus protection software and other applications</li>
<li>Respond to switching and router issues</li>
<li>Install, configure and troubleshoot server issues</li>
<li>Analyze, detect and fix potential systems issues</li>
<li>Plan, design and execute on projects that support the IT infrastructure or business requests/needs</li>
<li>Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues and act as an escalation point for other IT support team members</li>
<li>Monitor systems daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns</li>
<li>Provide support for various Phone systems, including enhancements or conversion projects</li>
<li>Provide support for internal EMR system, as needed</li>
<li>Ability to travel locally (20-40%) and ability to travel out of state (5%)</li>
<li>Ability to respond to issues/alerts/outages on nights and weekends</li>
<li>6+ years’ experience in system administration</li>
<li>MCSE certification is highly preferred</li>
<li>Basic knowledge of network administration</li>
<li>Demonstrated problem-solving mindset with strong network troubleshooting skills</li>
<li>Advanced knowledge of system vulnerabilities and security issues</li>
<li>Experience with VMware, switches, routers, firewalls and servers</li>
<li>Support of Windows operating systems and Active Directory</li>
<li>Basic understanding of PCI and HIPAA certification requirements as it relates to system requirements and best practices</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership and/or end users</li>
<li>Positive, professional and friendly attitude, and demonstrated experience as a self-motivated member of a work team</li>
<li>Must be able to plan and lead projects from start to finish</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and in a team environment</li>
<li>Experience in a senior or lead role is highly preferred</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience</li>
