More About Asthma Treatment
Asthma treatment measures vary widely based on the severity of a given attack. Mild asthma flare-ups can require as little as a rescue inhaler, while some asthma attacks may require emergency room treatment followed by further observation. At Physicians Immediate Care we are able to prescribe common asthma medications including a rescue inhaler, steroid inhaler, or a steroid injection.
Common symptoms of an asthma attack include:
- Wheezing
- Coughing
- Difficulty catching breath
- Tightness in the chest
If an individual experiences any of the above symptoms, they should utilize their rescue inhaler and seek medical treatment immediately if symptoms do not subside.
