UTI (Urinary Tract Infections) Treatment

When you need UTI treatment, the last thing you want to do is jump through hoops to get it. In the vast majority of cases, a urinary tract infection isn’t severe enough to need a trip to the nearest hospital emergency room. However, the symptoms can be severe enough that you probably don’t want to go through the usual process of making an appointment with your primary care physician – or hoping that they can squeeze your visit into their schedule. That’s where Physicians Immediate Care comes in, providing patients with fast, effective UTI treatment without the hassles.

UTI treatment is best delivered as quickly as possible. If symptoms are left untreated, the infection can spread up the urinary tract to the bladder and even to the kidneys.

UTI FAQs

What are the symptoms of a UTI?

Below are the common symptoms of a urinary tract infection:

  • Frequent need to urinate
  • The feeling you’ve incompletely emptied your bladder after voiding.
  • Burning sensation when urinating
  • Urine that appears cloudy with a strong odor
  • Blood in the urine

Should you go to urgent care for UTI?

An urgent care can be a convenient option to be evaluated and treated for a UTI. Walk-in or reserve your time at any one of our urgent care locations to be treated for a possible UTI. Our providers can evaluate your urinary tract infection symptoms, provide a diagnosis, suggest an effective treatment, and provide follow-up if necessary.

How do we test for UTIs?

Typically our providers will order an on-site urinalysis to test your urine for the level of red and white blood cells and other signs of infection. If more testing is needed, the provider may request a send-out lab for confirmation and/or analysis.

How much does it cost to be tested and examined for a UTI?

We accept most major health insurance plans for patients with insurance and can bill the insurance companies directly. Click here for the list of insurance plans we are in-network with. We have self-pay options available for those without insurance or who choose not to use. If you come in for a UTI (urinary tract infection) and decide not to use insurance, your visit will generally fall under a care level 1 pricing. Click here for the cost depending on the clinic you visit.

When should you visit us if you think you have a UTI?

If you are experiencing symptoms of a UTI, we recommend you visit us at the first sign of infection. Most UTIs can be diagnosed and treated with a course of antibiotics. Untreated UTIs may spread to one or both kidneys, which can cause serious complications.

How long does it take for UTI test results?

At Physicians Immediate Care, we can provide your UTI test results during your visit and quickly get you started on treatment.
